Finding Me Time Is Harder Than I Thought

Hi Everyone, really I'm still around. I'd given myself an unofficial date to get back to blogging of September 26th, I used my RTB due date as deadline. As you can see I just made it :) Honestly, it's been incredibly hard finding "me time" during the last 2 months. Apparently "me time" will be coming between 5 and 6 in the morning.

Junior is having an interesting school year. Academically he's doing well, he got a 100% on his first official test and has a math quiz this week, that should be interesting. But, his behavior has been iffy. It seems he's a little "chatty", there's a shock--LOL. Sorry Wendy and Kristie, he loves his Yankee backpack :)

My work schedule is now 9-2, which is much more manageable than 11-4. School and Church commitments are still leaving me little free time, but I enjoy what I'm doing. I work Saturday mornings so I miss soccer games, but I do go to Thursday soccer practices. I'll send the hubby with a camera this week and hopefully post a picture of Junior while he's playing goalie, there's a huge difference between when he played last year and this one. He actually pays attention.

I've finished 3 books this week, an ARC of Lynn Viehl's Evermore (the next book in the Darkyn series)--loved it :), and two Lisa Kleypas rereads.

I'm heading off to blog hop, hope all are well.

Have a great day and happy reading.

ETA--I just finished a quick blog hop and Meljean rocks--LOL

Hi Tara Marie :D

wow, looks like the past two months have been busy. 9 to 2 is better, just because you can leave work early and you still have an afternoon.

It's great news to know that Junior is doing well in class :P LOL, chatty... I was too :) he'll be fine, don't worry :D

Hope you'll be around more :D and LOL, Meljean rocks indeed

Hi, TM, I'm so glad to see you were able to give us an update. You are much braver than me if you can get up at 5 a.m. to give yourself some "me" time. Personally, I'd sleep. :-) Junior is growing up so fast! Cute pictures. How's he liking school this year?

Oh poor Junior! A Yankee back pack! So young to have already traveled over to the Dark Side.

(It does look like a nice back pack though - regardless of the logo)

Hey, nice to see you around! This is my "me time" right now, too ... it's sweet, sweet bliss.

Good to see you back again!!! I missed you while you were on break.
And I'd be willing to bet if you showed Junior a Jay's backpack or a Tiger's backpack he'd love them too *g*. But I think he would NOT like a Red Sox one.

Nath, 9-2 isn't bad and that's why I really don't mind working Saturday as it doesn't ruin the afternoon and evening. During the week the time is perfect for getting Jr to and from school

Rosie, I'm up I might as well blog or read :)

Wendy, the "Dark Side" was inevitable :)

Dev, I'm glad to be back, I'm hoping to keep it up :)

Meljean, me time is wonderful and I miss my middle of the day me time.

Kristie, thank you, actually he'd probably like a White Sox, but definitely not a Red Sox :)

Hey, you're back! Glad you're not being overwhelmed by stuff. And good on junior for being an ace in school.

It seems he's a little "chatty"

No way!! LOL

Good to see you back and doing well. You amaze me. Very little "me" time and you still read three books in a week. I'm working on the same book I started at the beginning of the month. I've just completely lost my reading mojo.

I'm glad you're back! I agree 9-2 is much more workable than 11-4. I'm with Rosie though. 5 am is for sleeping. LOL ;)

I'm glad you're back. And I'm glad you're carving out some "me time." Gives me hope for my own weird schedule...

Loved the stories of Junior's school year!

Obviously Jr. is a morning person because he looks absolutely thrilled to be heading off to school!

Glad that you have a better shift and that you have been reading. All good things.

Jaye, it took me a while to get into the groove, but I think I've got it now.

Jen, believe it or not my WAHM job is taking phone calls and I find some days I actually have enough time between calls to get a couple of pages read, they add up over a 5 or 6 hour shift.

Amanda, I'm a morning person, so I've been up since 4:30 decided to get up at 5 and start blog hopping.

Kate, my problem with "me time" initially was it seemed rather selfish, but I realized without it I'm real cranky.

Cindy, he really is a morning person (it was probably inevitable as both his parents are morning people too)

Ladies, I'm glad to be back and hopefully I'll be able to keep it up :)
