First Day of School

The first day of school didn't start out wonderful, new shoes were AWOL, so he had to wear his old ones, of course the shoes were under his train table, Dad was sure he looked there. I don't know why I sent him up to look he can't find milk in the fridge.

But other than that things went well, they only have half days this week and they were so busy that they didn't have time for snacks, so he was cranky hungry by the time we picked him up.

So cute! I can't wait to hear what funny things he has to say once school really gets underway.

Hey Jen, today was a much better day. "We had time for snacks. I was worried about that." The kid is obviously mine, he plans his day around eating--LOL.

Very cute picure! Other than missing the snacks, how did he like his first day of kindergarten?

Devonna, the day was "okay", but he was starving when he got home, ate an apple in the car and had lunch as soon as he hit the house. Being hungry makes him incredibly cranky.

There was one little boy who cried a lot.

Today he told me to drop him and go, I didn't need to walk him in, as if--LOL.

Just stumbled across your blog and was so interested since you are such an avid reader. Your son is so cute! I'll bet you get lots of cute stories to post about his experiences this year. If you are in the mood for a new book, my romantic suspense novel, Hit and Run, is available in ebook format now at The Wild Rose Press. You can order it at bookstores or through Amazon in paperback beginning October 1. More info on my website www.carolannerhardt.com.

I love every picture you post Junior. He has the best smiles but my favourite is still the one of him on stage ;)

I would think the real question is how are you doing? Things too busy right now to notice he's gone?

He will remain on half days for the year, right? Or will he start full days?

My youngest Godson is now on full days every other day and the only thing he eats that is remotely healthy is a peanut butter sandwich. Guess which school is now peanut free? I would have been euchred as a child if my school was Peanut free!! Sue's struggling to come up with choices as they don't get lunch anymore but 2 nutrition breaks. I haven't heard yet but she was ready for him to come home and tell her 'don't pack that or this anymore!'

Jane, I agree he is adorable.

Carole Ann, he's a regular Calvin in the making, thanks for your book info.

Cindy, I didn't cry, which is amazing for me since I cry at Hallmark commercials. I'm a little at loose ends and need to find a routine. Thanks for asking.
