The other Church Lady in our office is a 74 year old grandma. She has been the Church Secretary for over 25 years. Every once in a while she gives me books that she's enjoyed, usually these books are women's fiction she picked up at a library sale.
Yesterday she gave me what she described as a hot romance, she stayed up late Monday night to finsh reading. Not only did she like it she LOVED it.
Holy cow, it's an old Sylvie Sommerfield. In all the years I've been reading romance I've never read Sylvie Sommerfield. This one is up next.
Don't you just love the cover--LOL

OMG - that's some fantastic old skool bodice rippin' cover art right there. And I've never read Sommerfield either, although that's not too surprising. I've really only been "seriously" reading romance for about 10 years. There are oodles of old skool authors I've never read.
Wendy, Love the cover :) I've been reading romance for over 25 years and have never read one of hers--it should be interesting.
Ho-lee Toledo! Now that some memory inducing cover art.
Uh, I think that book is like the 3rd or 4th romance I ever read. Can't wait to hear what you think - I used to think I knew the story but over the years, when I put up a small amount of the story I remember they tell me it's another book. Still, I think it may have been this one so I'll have to wait till you read it so I can ask some questions ;)
CindyS
Rosie, it's a perfect example of a "bodice ripper" isn't it :)
Cindy, I'm actually looking forward to an old school romance, we'll see :)
I love me some old school bodice ripping nekked covers! Can't wait to hear what you think of it.
