part of me thinks that almost all romance heroes are alpha and we just need to pick one in each category that best exemplifies that persona.Keep listing Alphas and which category you think they belong to and I'll try to figure out how to do polling and hopefully have that up in the next day or so.

I think he was the first kind of Alpha you had listed.. but it's been a decade since I read that book and my memory could be wrong!

Hmmm, nope. Not all heroes are alpha. I'm thinking Cal from Bet Me - I would say he is a beta.
I think any book where the hero and heroine have been friends for years without ever noticing each other would be more of a beta thing.

I have to think about that. Their friendship would most likely be a beta relationship, but can't a man turn "Alpha" once in a romantic relationship?
