When I get a little money I buy books; and if any is left I buy food and clothes--Desiderius Erasmus...
A room without books is like a body without a soul--Cicero...
You know you've read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend--Paul Sweeney...
Husband loves those too- God bless him. Personally, they require way too much squinting & fuming. This is his favorite site: Samurai Sudoku. He loves the samurais. He carries them around everywhere for several days (like me w/ my books).
I just did my first one yesterday and it took me an hour! If I have an hour to kill I'd rather be reading. But it was a fun hour. I love puzzles of any kind. I can see where sudoku can get addicting so I better stay away from it.
I really enjoy it :D There's a pattern tho, you know... I mean, once you get used to, you know how to look at it, you don't just look into the square anymore.
In school the teachers use them A LOT to entertain kids who are done with work early, or waiting for someone in the office, or waiting on a bus, or whatever.
SO my kids got into sudoku by about first grade. And then, help, got me hooked.

Hee. I went through that phase too. I still love it but not to the point where I was doing three or four puzzles a night.
It's addicting, isn't it? DH got me started on them after he bought a book of puzzles to do while he was flying so much last year.
Jen
Amanda, it's addicting, I'm assuming samurais are really hard.
Jane, I'm still at the 3, 4, 5 a night stage.
Jen, perfect for a flying, a book, pencil and eraser, nobody can complain about that carry-on.

My sister and niece are addicted to these ~ I tried it once. I got frustrated real easy.
I have to agree with Renee ~ if I have an hour to kill, I'd rather be reading.

Amanda - thanx for the link :)
I do one puzzle a day (on line).
:-)
lol Funny you should have this up. Just bought some Sudoku software and a little handheld from work today.
Ladies, it's nice to know I'm not alone--LOL.
The guy I live with likes Sodoku too. He does it as a stress reliever...go figure!
We're sudoku nuts in this house.
