I've finished 3 books in the last 2 days...
- Sexy/Dangerous by Beverly Jenkins. She's a new author for me, of course it's book number 4 in a series so I felt a little confused by some of the characters, but I like her writing voice. The story needed a little suspension of belief but then I decided it's supposed to, it's kind of Bondesque and a fun read.
- Sizzling by Susan Mallery. Book three in the Buchanan series. It was good, Susan Mallery is a good writer, strong distinctive voice, but she's not a favorite. Reid Buchanan is a whore, plain and simple, not my favorite type of hero, experience is one thing but he was doing the one night stand thing through the first two books of the series. Lori needs a life. The grandmother's transformation is a bit extreme given what a major bitch she is in the first two books. A nice solid story.
- The Master of Shilden by Lucinda Carrington. I'm finding when it comes to ER I prefer Black Lace, their story lines seem stronger than what I've read from Ellora's Cave, but then my experience with ER as a whole is probably a little wanting.
I haven't decided what to read next. I've had enough ER for one month so it's probably going to be an historical.
Have a good one and happy reading.

Hmm, I have Sizzling on my TBB list but after reading this I'm not so sure. Reid is a total slut in the previous books but I can't resist finishing the series.
I just bought Sizzling last night, but I didn't know there were two books before it. I wonder if I'll like it more not having read about his sluttiness in the first two?
Renee, give it a try, one of the points of the story is he's not completely self-absorbed and is redeemable.
Holly, you probably will, but the other books are worth a read.
I love to finish a series, no matter how awful it gets. I ranted at the last Sookie Sackhouse book, lol. Swore I'd never get another one. But once I start, I'm hooked.
LOL!
My mother taught piano, but I was hopelessly not talented. But I loved to practice and play - so go figure.
I loved Sizzling ;). I seem to like the redeemed whore. LOL
Well I like them better when the are like Reid. He pretty much screwed anything that stopped moving long enough and asked. The whole... when I was young I loved... woe is me thing was great.
What is better than Lori telling him, you know that is just an excuse right? And the scene with the twins was beyond silly but amused me muchly.
I read them backward. Started with three and then did one and two. But I am odd like that.
