Vanquished by Hope Tarr

Great book!

Callie is a some what sheltered suffragette, Hadrian is a photographer in desperate need of funds. He is hired by the villain to not just ruin but to completely vanquish her. And, provide photographic proof. Not quite sure about it, Hadrian is strong armed into the plan. She is tricked into sitting for a series of portraits and in the process he teaches her that women's rights is only a small part of the overall human rights issue. And, he learns love is more important than money.

Beautifully written, incredibly erotic and yet not erotica and so much more sensual than probably any erotic romance I've ever read. This one's a keeper.

Oooohhhh I have this one in my TBR pile. I'll have to move it up! I've read other books by her and really enjoyed them. And I was so surprised when I saw it in the book store because I've never seen anything in there by that publisher before. (one of the reasons I bought it). It gave me hope that maybe they might start carrying other smaller publishers.

Kristie, This was my first Hope Tarr. I'll be heading to the UBS to look for her backlist. Hopefully, I'll find some.

This one sounds right up my alley. I'll have to hunt it down. You're no good for my pocket book, Tara Marie!

I should have stayed off the computer today because I keep finding books I must have. I love the cover on this and was hoping someone would review it. So happy the inside is as nice as the outside :)

I am going to get it tomorrow and return the crappy book I bought today.

Jaye--I'm no good for my own pocket book. I completely over spent my book budget th is month and it's only the 17th.

Renee--blog hopping is terrible, I always finds something "I need to read."

Jane--hope you like it as much as I did.

the cover is lovely, and I liked Hope Tarr's Tempting from awhile back. I'll stick this on the wish list, too.

So I went to three bookstores last night and called a forth. No Hope Tarr. I guess everyone liked it and bought out the two copies every store had. Ugh.

Jane, my bookstore special ordered it for me. It's from Medallion Press and she was finally able to get it from Ingram. I'm also looking for In Enemy Hands which she's having a hard time getting.

Huh. Small Print Publishers let me introduce you to epublishing. I don't know that I can be arsed to ask my bookseller to order it for me. I guess I will have to though since you say it is a keeper and I am easily persuaded.

Jane, I never thought to see if Medallion publishes in ebook form.

Oh, the pressure, it may be a keeper for me but...

I've been needing an excuse to order those old Kate Rothwell historicals and this is as good of a reason as any. If I don't like it, I'll write my "scathing and mean" letter to you!
