Sleeping Beauties

After an exhausting afternoon of playing, my two sleeping beauties take a nap:

Junior and Petey Cat

Junior sometimes sleeps with his eyes open.

After seeing Renee's adorable Bailey, I realized I didn't post these pictures from earlier this week. We had spent a couple of hours at the park on Wednesday after school, and I guess Junior wore himself out. Pete's 13, and he spends a good 20 hours a day sleeping.

Pete is the greatest kids cat. He lets them pick him up, crawl all over him and never and I mean NEVER has scratched or bit a child or anyone else for that matter.

AHHHH! What an adorable picture! Why is it that kids are so cute when they are sleeping. I used to go in their rooms and watch them sleep. Their cute chubby cheeks just begged to be kissed. That is one giant cat!

The cat is huge, tops the scales at about 20 lbs. +/-, probably +. He's bigger than my sister's Jack Russell.

And, Renee you're right they are adorable when asleep.

I was super impressed that the cat would sleep with him. It was my husband who said the cat was huge. Only then did I realize that, yes indeed, that's one big cat ;)

Don't you just love having pictures like that!

My cats, on the other hand, run when they smell kids.

Cindy, I do love having pictures like this. He's actually our second cat that has been very good with kids and our other one was just as big, maybe it has to do with size.

That is one heck of a big cat! And wow- junior is really growing too isn't he.

Kristie--Junior is growing like a weed this year, in the last 8 months I think he's grown 5 or 6 inches, of course he doesn't gain weight at that speed, he's only gained 2 pounds, he's skinny as a rail--LOL.

I guess the cat is huge :)

For me he's just Petey, the neediest, most attention driven beast on earth, but a great cat and we love him to bits.
